Emmanuel College

Emmanuel College, part of Victoria University at the University of Toronto provides:

• courses and degree programmes for persons seeking qualifications for employment as lay or ordained ministers’

• non-credit continuing education events

• a new lay certificate in theology which is not intended for professional ministry.

Most courses in the degree programme are also open to those who want to study without proceeding to a degree or ordination. University graduates who meet the admissions criteria of the Toronto School of Theology (TST) can take courses for credit at Emmanuel or any of the other theological colleges in TST. Persons without university degrees can usually enrol in these courses as auditors.

The new lay certificate in theology does not require an undergraduate degree. The programme includes audit participation in regular credit courses, special lay training courses, and integrative projects. Students will be assigned mentors (graduate students and graduates of the College) to assist in individual programme planning.

Five Oaks

Five Oaks is a United Church Educational Centre in Paris, Ontario - on the Grand River. It offers both residential and non-residential programmes, and one day and multi-day events to meet a wide range of the educational, spiritual and recreational interests of church people. There are programmes for children and families as well as adults.
